"Tanuki" are sometimes referred to as raccoon dogs. In the ancient religions of the Japanese isles, Tanuki were seen as gods and guardians of the natural world. The most intelligent and magically skilled Tanuki were said to take on human names and habits. I’ve always loved their shape-shifting abilities, since they can transform into stones, trees, statues, or even everyday household objects just to play tricks on people.

Here is a famous nursery rhyme about the Tanuki’s… magical ballz:

“Tan tan tanuki no kintama wa | Kaze mo nai no ni | Bura bura
Tan-tan-tanuki’s balls | Even when there is no wind | They swing, swing”

After you mix the clay piece into the wood glue base, it turns into a smooth, beginner friendly slay slime. It makes great bubble pops and inflates a lot. We chose a delicious fragrance oil for this slime so the scent is warm and sweet without being too strong or offensive. I’d describe the scent strength as medium.
