Rain Frog DIY Slime Kit

Before clay: This is a wonderful coarse-ish sand slime with a comfortable amount of base to keep the sand from having much fallout. After clay: I agonized for weeks on whether or not I had the heart to squish the world's most whelmed frog into the sand. This is the only DIY sand slime I've ever run across in a slime shop, so curiosity eventually won out over heart -- after all, when would I have the chance to try this texture again? Pics show me squishing the toad after I removed about 1/3 of the slime (I wanted a little extra space in the container for initial squishes).

Final verdict: The scent reminds me so much of my grandparents' very MCM house, but I can't place exactly why. I absolutely love the smell, despite it being very strong at first (this is honestly a smart move by MMB, though, since sand slimes lose scent ridiculously fast!). I'm guessing in a month this will be just a hint of vertiver. There is also a bit of fallout once the clay is added in, but again, clay always causes fallout no matter what slime it is, so it wasn't unexpected at all, and it wasn't excessive. The last time I played with this slime, I realized that the final texture feels a lot like a North American toad, so now I call it my Frog & Toad slime. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a more unusual texture to try out!

Rain Frog is an incredible DIY slime whether you end up mixing in the clay piece or not. The smell is refreshing and the sand slime is so satisfying to play with. The sounds it creates are extremely relaxing. The clay piece is adorable and is clearly made with love. I felt guilty mixing it in but it was so worth it. You end up with this plump and sizzly sand slime. It's a one of a kind texture and experience. Adding the clay creates just the slightest sand fall out but I didn't find this to be a big issue. Everything about this slime is wonderful and I can see why so many people rave about it.

My new favorite Sand slime. I love it so much. The sand to slime ratio is great because there isn’t much fall out compared to other slimes I’ve played with in the past and it inflates a lot. The smell is soo GOOD. It literally smelled like a whiskey and tobacco candle that I own. I highly recommend this one

This is one of the first slimes I purchased from Mythical Mushbunny. I mainly got it because rain and frogs bring up memories of my dad 💚🐸🤎. I was also very interested in trying a sand texture, and I love that this shop explores unique scents. Speaking of the scent, it is very “masculine” in nature, which I liked in this particular case (also, it mellows to an ideal strength after a couple of plays). When it comes to the sand texture, after a hilarious mishap where my spouse had to free both of my bound hands with the activator (it was my own fault for being overzealous), I got to enjoy the sand by itself for a while, and I fell in love with the sound. The only part that wasn’t funny is that I accidentally got slime on the label and messed it up some 😢, which I still makes me want to kick myself in the butt. Of course, the frog is adorable, so a part of me hated to mix him in, but I finally added him to around half the sand. It look me a couple of weeks before I wanted to part with the other half of the sand, and, when I finally did, I ended up being a bit annoyed with myself for waiting so long because the texture became even more awesome, and the change in color was so rewarding (it really mirrors the brownish green of a frog’s skin). I really like this texture a lot, and the sand definitely stands out (without very much fallout). Now, Rain Frog has become my “special occasion” slime because I want to keep it as long as possible.

The scent on this one is so lovely! The slime texture itself is soft yet crispy from the sand! It feels so soothing when stretched and squished! The clay piece is adorable and it hurt my heart to mix him in. :P The texture after he's mixed in is also fantastic! Every slime I recieved was incredible, and this one is one of my favorites!

I’m as of recent a very regular customer of this shop, as ever since trying their products I have become hooked on their versatile slime textures, well thought out and cool/fun themes, and superior quality/slime holdability. I have yet to not love a single slime Mythical Mushbunnies makes, but Rain Frog immediately became not just my favorite MMB slime, but my favorite overall slime - and that’s saying a lot for a girl who has hundreds if not thousands of slimes from 20+ different (but similar) handmade slime companies.

What drew me initially to rain frog when browsing was the absolutely adorable clay frog, and more importantly, the listed texture (sand slime). Sand slime is a newer texture to me, and not many shops seem to sell sand slimes regularly yet. However, I’ve now tried a total of 15 or so different sand slimes (from 6-7 different shops) and this is my favorite of them all. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint, particularly after adding the clay frog. Prior to adding it (or if you order just the slime without the clay) it is a mixture of sand grains of various sizes and clear slime. However, I suggest ordering the version that does come with the clay frog piece, because adding it to the already-awesome base created a truly addictive one-of-a-kind texture. I can’t put it down. The texture after the clay is added is pretty straightforward to describe, it is softer than it was prior to adding the clay, it feels like it consists of about 30-50% sand kernels of various sizes embedded in a mix of clear slime and clay (slay slime), leaving you with a soft, sizzly, slightly under-activated texture that is more fluffy and easily inflatable, stretches more easily, is a bit less sticky than without the clay, takes on a lovely teal color, and provides just the right combination of chunky, soft, foldable, moldable, and stretchy.

Since buying it, I have divvied the slime into 5 containers so that I can have some with me at all times - one for my home desk, one for my work desk, one for my purse, one for the living room to use when watching TV, and one to keep on hand in the car to use anywhere. The container that came with the slime that initially holds just the clay piece serves as an excellent overflow container too, since adding the clay increases the overall volume of slime once mixed in. I consistently and frequently reach for this slime out of all of my many slimes because the texture is really satisfying to me as I seek novelty and chunkiness in slime textures. While this does contain sand grains of many sizes, it does not hurt my hands no matter how roughly I play with it at all and I have had ZERO fallout with this slime which is super impressive considering it contains sand. I have never had it rip on me despite the high slime to mix in ratio. When stored the slime does separate from the sand (the sand settles at the bottom and the slime floats to the top) and this creates a cool, layered look and is easy to reverse by simply mixing it back up. While a gentler, slower pull is better with this slime, even more aggressive pulling does not cause ripping or fallout. This slime also makes amazing, amazing ASMR sounds. This of course includes tons of bubble pops, and satisfying pokes, but just manipulating the slime causes the grains of sand to rub together and make a satisfying sound that even reminds me of the sound of rain gently falling on pavement - it’s a soft sizzle sound. And when I say I can’t put it down, I mean it! I received it about a week ago and have spent 20+ hours manipulating this slime. Even with all that play, it has not dried out or become hard at all.

I would recommend ANY of their slimes, but I recommend this one the most if you’re like me and love textured slimes or are curious about sand containing slimes. I don’t think you’ll find another product quite like it anywhere, and if you can get past not wanting to smush the beautiful blue clay frog and end up mixing it in, the texture and color it creates are so incredible that you won’t regret squishing the frog - the addition of the clay renders this the best sand slime I have been able to find to date, and I’ll be purchasing more to keep as backup because I never want to be without this slime again!

The customer service is absolutely wonderful. The Rain Frog Sand Slime is also very nice. The texture and smell are incredible. It's a little sticky, but I guess that's to be expected. It also doesn't make as many bubble pops as I'd like, but that's a very small problem.

I love this slime so much! It’s a great sand texture and stretches super well. There is a little bit of sand fallout but that’s not unexpected for me, just make sure to play over a surface that’s easy to clean. The frog is so cute and mixes with the sand to make a beautiful color. The scent is like a foresty cologne, which may be hit or miss for others, but I like it. Really love this slime!

I am a 40+ mom of school aged kids who constantly try to steal my slime, lol…this one was supposed to be a birthday present for my daughter, but I had to test it out and got addicted to the scent, sounds and texture (so it’s staying in my collection). 😅 It’s very inflatable - even without the added clay piece, make sure you have an extra container to store while it deflates. The scent is earthy, bright and clean, but light enough that it washes off. The ADORABLE frog was too cute to mix in, so I can’t say how that would change the texture, but overall it’s a 10/10 for me. Gonna have to buy another one to give away as the gift, I guess 😂.

This clay piece is adorable! The sand base is amazing and it turns into a gorgeous teal color once the frog is mixed in. Smells insanely good.

This is a great sand slime with no fallout. The frog is adorable also. The scent is a little perfume heavy for me but that's just personal preference.

MM's non-food scents all seem too strong and perfumey for me 😔 the frog is cute and the texture is nice, so I hold my breath when I play with it.

When I received my order it was better than I could have imagined. The packaging was super cute and there was a letter thanking for the purchase. It really made it it feel personal and I love that! Not only was the packaging great but the slime was too! I ordered four slimes and all of them smelled wonderful. Rain frog was a sand texture and was the best sand I’ve felt. It wasn’t too dense and it has no fall out from what I’ve experienced. I personally don’t do the clay mix in in’s so the cute little frog stays in his container but I loved it so much I convinced my friend to make an order.

Wow, I love this slime! I’ve been on the hunt for sand slime, and I saw this review on Arbitrary Canary’s channel and it helped me figure out very quickly that this was a slime for me. I am so happy I went with the shop! I’ve had it for a couple days now, and I’ve let the sand settle and it’s just as good as the first time I took it out of the container! The scent is strong masculine but I like it. Can’t go wrong here!!

This slime is amazing!! The sand gives such a good grit. I was hesitant to mix the clay frog because the base is so good, but mixing the clay frog gave this slime the best inflation. And it smells SO good - like an expensive cologne.

I really wanted to just okay with the sand slime because the texture was so cool, but it was super sticky. I added activator but still too sticky. It’s super hot this summer so understandable. Once I added the frog it was easier to play with and had a cool color change. I’m still going to purchase the next sand slime I see! Love the grumpy frog. Too cute. This is quickly becoming my favorite shop.

This was the first of it's kind that I ever tried and It set the bar extremely high. 1st that grumpy adorbs frog...he had me and then just taking the slime out of the jar was so intense and interesting, I was blown away at how cool it felt. I played with it probably for a half hour before mixing the grumpy happy froggy. All mixed make such a super fun, aromatic textured pleasure slime.
